Please note that ALL members need to adhere to these General Terms and Conditions when making use of the office space and facilities supplied by The Corner Office.  All members are also responsible for ensuring that their guests, employees, clients or invitees adhere to these terms and conditions.

  1. Executive Members

    1. Private office space must be restored to its original state during the notice period, prior to termination of membership. Any damage to the walls, floors, windows, doors, locks, glass or electrical switches and connections other than fair wear and tear, is to be repaired at the expense of the member on vacating the space.   

    2. No desks, shelving units or wall hangings are to be fixed to the walls without prior consent from The Corner Office management.

    3. The private spaces are designed to comfortably accommodate:

      1. Office 1, 3 and 4: 2 people

      2. Office 2 and 5:   3 people

      3. Office 6:   4 people

    4. If an extra co-worker is required in Offices 2, 5 and 6, which is not recommended from a comfort point of view, it shall be permitted at an extra cost of R500 to cover extra use of the office facilities and services.

    5. Access control tags and keys to specific offices will be provided for members and their team as per the office allocation.

    6. A refundable deposit of R100 per member for keys and access tags is payable prior to delivery of those items.

    7. Executive Members and additional co-workers are expected to work in their executive space and not in the open and hot desk areas.  If there is a need to work in the hot desk area this incurs a fee of R180 per day or part thereof.

    8. Company names or logos will be applied by The Corner Office team in plain white vinyl on the door of the office allocated to Executive Members.

    9. This package entitles members to 8 hours of complimentary boardroom use per month, with the exception of Office 6 where the allocation is 12 hours per month.

    10. The allocated hours for the use of the boardroom do not accrue from month to month.  

    11. Management reserves the right to charge double credits for exclusive use of the Event Room even if there is a clash of bookings and we urge members to plan ahead to prevent these clashes.

  2. Premium Members & Full Members

    1. Premium Members will be allocated a dedicated booth for use only for the duration of the membership period.  All conditions related to Full members apply.

    2. Full Members will be allocated a dedicated desk for use only for the duration of the membership period.

    3. Only one person per Premium/Full Membership is permitted.

    4. Each desk is equipped with power, a chair and a lockable space for personal items.

    5. Full Members are provided with one access tag and a locker key. Each tag allows access to The Corner Office from either the courtyard or the main entrance.

    6. This package entitles members to 4 hours of complimentary boardroom use per month.

    7. The allocated hours for the use of the boardroom do not accrue from month to month.  

    8. Management reserves the right to charge double credits for exclusive use of the Event Space even if there is a clash of bookings and we urge members to plan ahead to prevent these clashes.

  3. Light Members

    1. Light Members are entitled to 32 hours per month use of one of the hot desks, which include:

      1. The dedicated hot desks;

      2. Any one of the desks in the open work area which has a number allocated to it;

      3. A space in the Event Room if the room has not been booked for an event.

    2. Only one person per membership is permitted.

    3. Please note that there is a limit to the number of hot desks available at any one time.

    4. Light Members are required to check in and check out with The Corner Office team to help us keep an accurate log of time used.

    5. The monthly time allocation does not accrue or roll over.

    6. Light Members may purchase additional hot desk time at 10% discount off the retail rate.

  4. Day Pass Members

    1. A Day Pass entitles access to The Corner Office during office hours (07h30 to 18h00) Monday to Friday, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

    2. Day Pass Members are entitled to one day’s use of a hot desk, which include:

      1. The dedicated hot desks;

      2. Any one of the desks in the open work area which has a number allocated to it;

      3. A space in the Event Room if the room has not been booked for an event.

    3. Only one person per Day Pass is permitted.

    4. Please note that there is a limit to the number of hot desks available at any one time.

    5. Day Pass holders should book their space in advance through The Corner Office team to ensure a desk.

    6. If a Day Pass Member would like to host a guest, the boardroom needs to be booked.

    7. This pass entitles the user to book the boardroom at the discounted Member’s rate on the same day of Day Pass use only. (i.e. 10% discount off the retail rate).

  5. Virtual Members

    1. Membership Features:

      1. Professional business address.

      2. One dedicated telephone number.

      3. Calls answered in the company name of the Virtual Member between 07h30 and 18h00 Monday to Friday, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

      4. One primary cell phone extension.

      5. Voicemail messages emailed to you as a voice note by the system

      6. 24 hour voicemail retrieval.

      7. All calls are recorded, backed up and saved for up to 2 months.

      8. 10% discount off retail rates for Boardroom, Event Room and Day Pass bookings/usage.

      9. Receiving of post and courier parcels.

    2. The minimum term of a virtual membership is 12 months.

    3. Office Access

      1. Post and packages can be collected between 07h30 and 18h00 Monday to Friday, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

      2. Packages can be delivered to The Corner Office Monday between 07h30 and 18h00 Monday to Friday, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.  If a package is expected to arrive after 16h00, notice must be given to the Corner Office to ensure that there is someone available to receive it.

      3. This membership does not include use of the office space, other than for delivery and collection of packages or mail by persons authorised in writing by the Virtual Member.

      4. Proof of identity must be supplied when an authorised person signs for and collects mail or packages.

      5. Once a membership expires, or if a membership account is in arrears, The Corner Office shall suspend the services provided to the member.

      6. The Corner Office takes no responsibility for the process of porting telephone numbers to The Corner Office from another provider and all charges will be for the account of the Virtual Member. The Corner Office shall assist wherever possible with this porting process.

    4. Fees, Extras & Setup

      1. A once-off setup fee of R600 is charged on initial sign up, which covers the configuration of the member’s telephone system and is non-refundable.

      2. Outgoing telephone calls incur a cost of R0.45 per minute for landline numbers and R0.90 per minute for cellular calls.

      3. Basic monthly membership covers one primary cell phone extension and additional cell phone extensions (with the same number) may be added for an additional R70 per extension per month.

      4. Before setup, the configuration of calls shall be discussed agreed.

            • For example: Calls can be made directly to the Virtual Member, then revert to reception if unanswered OR calls can be made directly to reception and are forwarded through to the Virtual Member.

      5. Temporary telephone numbers will be provided while the Virtual Member’s telephone number is in the process of being ported.

    5. Add-on VoIP Phone Service

      1. Membership Features:

        1. One dedicated telephone number.

        2. One primary cell phone extension.

        3. Voicemail messages emailed to you as a voice note by the system

        4. 24 hour voicemail retrieval

        5. All calls are recorded, backed up and saved for up to 2 months.

        6. This add-on will piggyback onto any current membership and will renew or terminate on the same date as the current membership package.

      2. If a current membership with The Corner Office is terminated, the retention of a telephone and reception service may be retained by signing up for a Virtual Membership.

      3. Fees, Extras & Setup

        1. Initial VOIP Phone fees are due on signature and acceptance of this package.

        2. Monthly VOIP Phone fees are due with the current membership fees in advance on the 25th day of each month.

        3. Outgoing telephone calls incur a cost of R0.45 per minute for landline numbers and R0.90 per minute for cellular calls.

        4. Additional cell phone extensions (with the same number) can be added for an additional R70 per extension per month.

        5. Executive and Full Members can add a cordless landline at The Corner Office (with the same number) for an additional R145 per extension per month.

        6. Calls can be answered by our receptionist at The Corner Office in the name of a company or business, between 07h30 and 18h00 Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays for an additional R120 per month.

        7. A once-off setup fee of R600 is charged on initial signup and this covers the configuration of your phone system and is non-refundable.

        8. Before setup the configuration of calls shall be discussed agreed.

              • For example: Calls can be made directly to the Virtual Member, then revert to reception if unanswered OR calls can be made directly to reception and are forwarded through to the Virtual Member. Temporary telephone numbers will be provided while the Virtual Member’s telephone number is in the process of being imported.

    6. Liability of the Corner Office

      1. The Corner Office will not be liable for any loss or damage from any cause arising, which a member, its guests, employees, clients or invitees may sustain arising out of its membership or use of the facilities provided by The Corner Office.

      2. By accepting these terms and conditions, the member hereby indemnifies and holds The Corner Office and its employees harmless against any loss or damage from any cause arising, which a member, its guests, employees, clients or invitees may sustain arising out of its membership or use of the facilities provided by The Corner Office.
